Overview

At the junction of Boulevard Saint-Exupéry and Rue d’Agadir, facing the Arab League Park, the building known as the Sony building is the IMCAMA building, named after the Société Immobilière de Casablanca et Maroc. This apartment block of some sixty flats was built in 1928 by the architect Albert Greslin; it fills an entire city block and opens onto the junction with a curved main façade.

Its decoration combines Art Deco with zellige tilework, which frames the windows and covers the two corner domes; on the park side, an arcaded gallery runs beneath the roof. The entrance hall keeps its wrought-iron staircase, granito floors, marble and zellige.
