Overview

On Place des Nations Unies, the former Place de France, the Immeuble Socifrance was built in 1935 to designs by the architect Erwin Hinnen. In a pared-back modernist idiom, it is marked by long white bands framing its square windows and ochre mullions. Its sixty flats are served by four entrance halls and open walkways; one of the staircases follows a circular plan.
