Overview
At 100 Boulevard Moulay Hassan Ier, at the corner of Boulevard de Paris and Rue d’Alger, the Ibn Toumert lycée occupies Casablanca’s former Petit Lycée. Opened in 1929, it is the work of the architect Georges-Jean Grel and was among the city’s first large school buildings. Over two levels, its wings form a continuous façade on three sides around the playgrounds; their style draws on Moroccan architecture, under roofs of green tiles.
