Current use Post office

Listed in the national heritage inventory

Overview

On Rue Moulay Ismaïl, in the Habous district, this building is known as the Habous post office. It belongs to the Habous new medina, whose first overall plan was sketched by Albert Laprade and which Auguste Cadet and Edmond Brion built from 1918 to 1955. Arcaded streets, carefully crafted public buildings and Almohad-style minarets there take up the forms of traditional Moroccan architecture.
