Siège de la Banque Commerciale du Maroc
Rue Idriss El Harizi
Current use Bank
Listed in the national heritage inventory
Overview
On Rue Idriss El Harizi, the former headquarters of the Banque Commerciale du Maroc is the work of the architect Marius Boyer, at the end of the 1920s. Cubist in spirit, the building rises in two towers that leave the centre of the block open to the street and light the double-height banking hall. The Salé stone framing the windows and the cantilevered corner loggias give it the stylised look of a kasbah of southern Morocco. It has been listed as national heritage since 2003.
