Angle rue Abdelkrim Diouri et rue Colbert · City centre

Listed in the national heritage inventory

Architect
Marius Boyer

Overview

The modest Hôtel Volubilis is one of the first projects by Marius Boyer, who had arrived in Morocco a year earlier; it dates from 1919-1920. A large round arch gathers four windows over two floors, while on the third floor a wooden pergola and green-tiled roofs evoke traditional architecture. The hotel's name stands out in relief within the arch, on a blue stoneware mosaic ground. The building has since been raised by two storeys.
