Overview

Built between 1930 and 1932 by Marius Boyer, the Assayag complex answered the period's wish to give the port district high-rise buildings. It consists of two blocks of eight and four storeys, separated by an inner street over an underground garage. On the boulevard, three stepped blocks open onto wide terraces and are crowned by duplexes. Some ninety flats are arranged around circular landings, each with three aspects; the ensemble recalls Henri Sauvage's buildings in Paris.
