Overview

Built in 1952 by Jacques Gouyon, this sixteen-storey building unfolds continuous balconies like rippling ribbons that seem to float in front of the recessed façade. Its name, "Villas Paquet", refers to the many outbuildings and services attached to the flats, which made them comparable to individual houses. Together with the Marignan building opposite, it brought a new scale to Boulevard Mohammed V. Its ocean-liner style recalls that of the Liberté building.
