Overview
Built in 1937 by Edmond Brion for the State Bank of Morocco, the building stands near Place Mohammed V. Brion also designed several of the bank's branches, in Marrakech, Rabat, El Jadida and Oujda, and later Tangier and Safi. After independence, the State Bank became Bank Al-Maghrib, the kingdom's central bank. The building still houses its offices.
