Overview

Built in 1935 by Edmond Brion, the Ben Dahan building marks his shift towards a modern, light-filled and pared-back style after parting ways with Auguste Cadet. On a trapezoidal plot, four floors of flats sit above a ground floor of shops; its façade on Place du 16-Novembre rises two storeys higher. The entrance hall, under a glass roof, leads to four staircases set in the corners. Its rounded corners and streamlined outline place it in the ocean-liner style.
