Current use Residential

Architect
Aldo Manassi

Overview

The building was erected in 1932 by Aldo Manassi, an Italian-trained architect active in Casablanca in the 1920s and 1930s; it is one of his last known works. Inspired by Central European, even Viennese, Art Deco, its façades rise through setbacks, tall French windows and paired columns over three floors. The top floor is punctuated by squat columns capped with brown zellige. The motifs of its railings and wrought-iron fanlight have been copied by recent buildings.
