Overview

Les Tourelles are a pair of twin houses built around 1930 by Marius Boyer for two business partners, Gouvernet and Lorentz, opposite the Sacred Heart church. Boyer mixes genres here: Mediterranean turrets ending in lookouts, Art Deco motifs on the stair towers, Neo-Moroccan zellige and green tiles. The building has lost its carved pediments and friezes and has been raised. Having housed an art foundation and later a café, it can now only be seen from the outside.
