Overview

On the corner of Boulevard Moulay Youssef and Rue Moussa Ben Noussair, Villa Violetta was built in 1929 by the brothers Joseph and Elias Suraqui. It combines Arab-Andalusian ornament with an Art Deco vocabulary, with finely crafted ironwork and tilework. Its interior was stripped during an attempted demolition that was halted in time; the villa has been listed as national heritage since 2003.
